Celebrating Texas!

This time of year in Dallas, is a sight to behold. The weather is changing and it’s officially Fall and time for Football, Texas State Fair, and Pumpkin Spice Lattes!! So bust out your sweaters and boots and let us help you plan an amazing weekend! 

 

The Texas State Fair is one of the most fun and exciting events that Dallas has to offer! The theme for this year is “Celebrating Texas”, a nod to the fair’s special history. There will be amazing special events and activities which will include concerts on the Main Stage and College football games. There will also be daily activities that will include the Starlight Parade, the Illumination Sensation lights, and the fireworks show! The State Fair of Texas will run this Friday, September 29th through October 22nd. General Admission is $18. Self Parking is available on official State Fair lots for $15 per space. State Fair hours vary, depending on the day of the week. 

 

I have really good news for you! If you missed seeing 2 Chainz at the beginning of August, don’t despair! He’s coming back in September! 2 Chains is an artist that has been dominating charts, all over the world. Hailing from Georgia, the newest capital of hip-hop, Grammy award winning 2 Chainz has proven his unique style and brand. 2 Chainz is the stage name of Atlanta rapper Tauheed Epps, once known as City Boi in the Atlanta-based Playaz Circle. Now on his world-wide tour, 2 Chainz is coming to Dallas AGAIN to bring you a fun filled night! This event will take place at the Gas Monkey Live Friday, September 29th. Tickets start at $43.

 

Chart rising band PVRIS is coming to the Bomb Factory on Friday, September 29th. They will be performing hits like “You and I”, “What’s Wrong”, Heaven” and more! The band (vocalist Lynn Gunn, guitarist Alex Babinski and bassist Brian MacDonald) headlines a fall tour in support of their new album, All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell. Tickets start at $25. Doors open at 8:00 pm. 

 

Mega stars, Young the Giant are coming to Dallas! With each of their chart-topping hits racking up 20 million to 90 million plays, each- this Alt-rock band is here to stay! On their worldwide tour, they will be teaming up withCold War Kids and Joy wave to bring you a spectacular show! This event will take place at the Toyota Music Factory. Doors open at 7:00 pm. Tickets start at $25.

 

Goodguys 25th Lone Star Nationals is back again and ready to show you a great time! The automative festival features over 2,500rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and trick trucks through 1972 vintage. In addition to the car show there will be Manufacturer and vendor exhibits, Swap meet and Auto Trader Classics cars-for-sale area, Goodguys Autocross, Art Gallery and more! You will also be able to take part in Team Texas NASCAR Stock Car Rides (additional fee). For the little ones, there will be Kids' activities including Revell Model Car Make 'n' Take, PPG coloring contest, clowns and more. This event will run from Friday, September 29th to October 1st. Hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission for this event starts at $20.

 

Father John Misty is coming to Dallas! Josh Tillman, the former Fleet Foxes drummer, is bringing his own modern twist to the art of rock n’ roll with hits like “Chateau Lobby #4”, “Nancy From Now On”, “Real Love Baby”, and more! He will be coming to the Bomb Factory on Saturday, September 30th. Tickets start at $40. Doors open at 8:00 pm. 

 

Autumn is officially here, and the Dallas Arboretum sure knows how to get you in the mood for Fall! The Autumn at the Arboretum is a spectacular sight to see, with over 90,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash beautifully displayed all over the acres ofDallas Arboretum’s landscape. The gardens are bursting with over 150,000 fall blooming flowers, and there will be a variety of different activities to partake in! This Fall display will be going on until November 22nd. Hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Tickets start at $15.

Country music legends Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will be coming to Dallas and bringing their plethora of chart topping hits! For Decades, these two Country music artists have captivated us with thoughtful lyrics and soaring melodies. Now, you can witness the greatness yourself by going to the American Airlines on Saturday, October 7th. Doors open at 7:30 pm. Tickets start at $70.

 

This event will be one to remember! On Tuesday, October 17th the Toyota Music Factory will be hosting Amazon Music's "A Night of Symphonic Hip Hop" starring trailblazing Philadelphia group the Roots and featuring special guests Erykah Badu, Bilal, Robert Glasper and conductor Miguel Atwood Ferguson. You won’t want to miss this!! Doors open at 7:45 pm. Tickets start at $39

 

The one, the only- Bruno Mars will be coming to Dallas!! The Hawaiian native grew up singing from a young age, impersonating Elvis and is now a multi-Grammy award winner and has sung for the Super Bowl. Bruno Mars is now traveling the world with his 24K Magic World Tour celebrates his new album, 24K Magic. You won’t want to miss this show! This event will take place on Friday, October 27th. Doors open at 8:00 pm. Tickets start at $50.
